FORGING A STRONG UNION

Two companies merge to form Riverview Heika Build Group, combining their expertise and discernment to serve the luxury building market.

Chances are, smart home buyers in southern Ontario interested in bespoke luxury homes or upscale commercial buildings are familiar with either Heika Build Group or Riverview Homes. Now they’ll be aware of both, as the two companies have merged to form Riverview Heika Build Group Ltd. The merger of the companies brings to the table almost six decades of experience in designing and building luxury homes, and they’ve also been adding land acquisition and development to their portfolios.

 

According to Colin Dempster, Heika’s CEO, “We decided to merge because we’d be able to take on more interesting and exciting projects together. We fit each other’s needs perfectly.” Vince D’Amelio, principal of Riverview Homes, adds that “we both have the same ambition; we’re both moving in the same direction. Our partnership will strengthen that.”

 

Dempster says that Riverview Heika Build Group’s clients are “very exclusive and refined.” The new company will engage in large-scale operations for these private clients, including land development and acquisition as well as the building and finishing of luxury homes and upscale commercial buildings. Like its precursors, the new company is based in Niagara-on-the-Lake. It serves mostly, but not exclusively, the Niagara and Southwest Ontario regions.

 

Dempster and D’Amelio characterize their partnership as a mix of experience and ambition. D’Amelio founded Riverview in 1987, and he points out that “the Ontario New Home Warranty Program has recognized the exceptional work offered by Riverview Homes, and we have an Excellent rating from Tarion Warranty Corp.” It’s a necessary and reassuring acknowledgement for the company’s exclusive and high-end, higher-echelon clientele. As for ambition, the company has “some exciting new ventures for 2024 already, planned and in the works,” says Dempster. “And we’re always accepting new clients.”

 

Dempster emphasizes the company’s newly broadened scope involving land development and acquisition. “If people want to enquire about land opportunities, they’re welcome to reach out to us. We’re happy to work with local and international clientele. And we ensure privacy for our clients, which they appreciate.”
