With a focus on custom designs and high-quality manufacturing, the family-owned business’s secret to consistently exceeding client expectations is staying ahead of industry trends and exploring how new technologies can enhance everyday projects. “Our designers work hand-in-hand with clients and always have their needs in mind in terms of both style and function,” says Brynley Braam, marketing manager at Braam’s Custom Cabinets. “Our slogan is ‘if you can imagine it, we can create it.’”
The company’s ongoing commitment to excellence is exemplified in one of Braam’s most recent projects, where the team blended style, functionality and craftsmanship to meet the client’s needs. Braam’s developed bespoke foyer closets and a standout kitchen with a personalized coffee station in this new house for a custom home builder in Oakville, Ontario, bringing an extra dose of luxurious ease to the abode.
“Right from the start we like to immerse clients in a full Braam’s experience,” Braam says. “Both of our showroom locations—one in Oakville, Ontario and the other in London, Ontario—are updated with beautiful custom cabinetry throughout and feature some pretty cool and innovative products.” Clients even have the opportunity to experience their cabinetry through virtual reality so they can choose what works best for their needs and space.
For this new-build project, stopping by Braam’s showroom with photo inspiration beforehand enabled the client to conceptualize their ideas in person. From there, the design process was effortless, allowing them to build out their wishlist with the help of Braam’s team of experts, and swiftly bring it to life.
Instead of an afterthought that’s better left unseen like most standard closets, these custom foyer closets were meant to be viewed as a stylish furniture piece, explains Keri Walters, the Braam’s designer who worked on the project. “We brought the white oak from the kitchen into the foyer to create an elegant entryway and overall cohesion in the house.”
Walters says that the custom coffee station in the kitchen has become a beloved feature in many of their clients’ homes. “It’s a great way to hide unsightly small appliances, like coffee machines and toasters, that are used on a regular basis but still accessible for daily use,” she says. Through careful communication and planning, Braam’s worked closely with the client to guarantee that the custom foyer closets and the kitchen coffee station were integrated seamlessly into the home.
Regardless of the project’s size or scale, form and function are effortlessly integrated into Braam’s designs, and quality is always top of mind. Each piece is carefully checked before leaving the manufacturing facility, and the final product is not considered complete until it meets Braam’s exacting standards.
